My name is Shannon McAnally and I have a passion for living, appreciating the simple things in life, helping others realize their full potential, and connecting with people on a humanitarian level. I wholeheartedly believe in being myself and standing up for what I feel is right. We only have one life and my goal is to make certain I am not taking it for granted.

Born in Dallas, TX, I have always had an affinity towards the city. I was incredibly blessed to live a wonderful childhood in the most loving family with siblings I now call friends, and parents who have been married for almost 34 years. My parents always went above and beyond to make sure I was able to take advantage of any opportunity presented to me. I had no excuses. They believed in me, even when I didn't. This fact single handedly set the tone for my extreme desire to become a person of substance and to conquer every goal I created.

I appreciate the small things in life; laughing, being outside on a perfect day, smiling, driving with the windows down, family, hearing good news, friends, my favorite songs, ...etc. Music is my greatest passion, and I pride myself in my musical taste and knowledge. To me it is the greatest form of art because it encompasses sound, sight, and feeling all at once on a powerful scale. I earnestly believe in the influence of music and its ability to transform people.

Another one of my fascinations is learning. I crave knowledge and feel that the more we know, the more we can contribute back to society. Education has always been a priority for me. I graduated from high school in three years and obtained my BBA in Marketing from the University of North Texas by age 21. I want to make certain that I constantly expand my mind and learn on a daily basis.

Now I am 25 years old, and truly feel that I have a solid grasp on life, my purpose, and how I want to grow as a person. I have set goals that I will achieve, and I am not scared of taking on responsibility that others wouldn't dare try. I have always considered myself an extreme optimist, and see the greener grass in every scenario. If there is one thing that I know and live by daily, it is that we create our destiny. Your dreams will not create themselves, and every second matters. I also know that I can only do so much by myself. The people that I have connected with throughout my life have helped shape me, inspire me, and encourage me to never settle for anything less than what I know I am capable of achieving.
